Eleanor Jean Gervasi, 94, of Vandergrift, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 in QLS-West Haven Manor, Apollo. Born April 10, 1924 in Vandergrift, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Luigina (Bennardo) Gervasi. Eleanor lived in Vandergrift all of her life, and was a graduate of Vandergrift High School.

She was employed for a time at the Hyde Park Glove Factory, and was the owner and the operator of Gervasi Beauty Shop in Vandergrift for 25 years, retiring in 1986. … Read More » She was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift, the Sons of Italy (Ladies Lodge #229) and the Vandergrift Senior Citizens. Eleanor loved spending time with her family.

She also enjoyed making crafts, playing bingo, and being active at West Haven Manor. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Gervasi and two sisters, Amelia Gervasi and Carmen Camilli. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a sister-in-law, Anita Gervasi of Vandergift.

Friends will be received on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Brady-Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 429 Franklin Avenue, Vandergrift. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift, with Father James Loew, OSB as celebrant. Entombment in Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum.
