Wanda B. (Smith) Morabito, 91, of Sarver, formerly of Washington Township, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 1, 2018. Born December 16, 1926 in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Merle W. & Eula (Chestnut) Smith. A homemaker, Wanda lived most of her life in Washington Township before moving to Sarver 2 years ago.

She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo. Wanda enjoyed reading, doing ceramics, painting, crocheting… Read More » and traveling across the US. She most loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashley Morabito; grandsons, Jordan Bowser and Kevin Croney; brothers, Edward & Donald Smith; and sisters, Jean Daugherty and Betty Potter. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Fred Morabito; children, Joan (Al) Depew of Sarver, Fred (Carol) Morabito, II. of Washington Township, Laurie (Joe) Gillespie of Sarver, Jamie (fiancé- Maria Santini) Morabito of Lower Burrell; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Robert Smith, James (Nancy) Smith of North Carolina, Sara Voyten of Leechburg, Lois Petrarca of Pittsburgh, Delores (Bob) Walters of Pittsburgh, Patricia Toy of Kittanning; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday, October 5th from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Ave. , Apollo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6th at 10:00 a.m. in St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo, with Father John Euker as celebrant.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
