William Mark Shindledecker, 71, of Oklahoma Borough, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville. He was born Tuesday, January 14, 1947 in New Kensington, to the late Elmer William and Esther Belle Cowan Shindledecker. He was a member of the North Apollo Church of God.

William was a member of the Flyers Football organization, very active in the Lower Burrell Little League, loved golf, gardening, spending time with his grandchildren, watching them play sports, loved Pitt Football and was a Life Member of Post 92 VFW in Lower Burrell. Before his retirement, he was an electrician for the IBEW Local Union #5. William was in the United States Navy a veteran during the Viet Nam War.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra Lee Kunkle Shindledecker, three children, William Robert Shindledecker and his wife, Kathleen, of Pittsburgh, Brenda Lynn Shindledecker of Apollo and Dwayne Dennis Shindledecker and his wife, Melanie, of Clarksburg; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 20, from 2PM until the time of service at 5:30PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, 1916 Moore Avenue, North Apollo, PA. Pastor Bob Shallenberger will be officiating.

Interment is private. In lie of flowers, family request memorial contributions be made in William’s name to the American Lung Society, 810 River Avenue, Suite 140, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
