Schueller age 77 of Melvin and formerly of Highland Park died January 28, 2019. He was born in Vienna, Austria on August 17, 1941. When he was 16 he left his home and moved alone to the United States.

Herbert became a US citizen and joined the United States Marine Corps. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Herbert retired from the Highland Park Public Safety Department where he served on the police and fire department.

He loved all animals including deer, raccoon and especially his pet dogs “Elizabeth” and “Toby”. He had been a long time member of the VFW and the Peck American Legion. He is survived by his wife Rita Kritzman-Schueller, 3 step-children Kimberly (Ron) Devroy, Heather (Mike) Bullock and Wesley (Kristi) Kritzman and 6 grand step-children.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City with visitation prior to the service from 11:00 until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Speaker Township Cemetery.
