lrene Lee Holjeson February 2, 1927-March 3, 2019 Beloved mother Irene, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully with her children by her side on the morning of March 3, 2019 from the complications of an unexpected stroke. She was born on February 2, 1927 in Grouse Creek, Utah to lsaac Franklin Lee and Orita Ellen Richins and joined a family which grew to include seven siblings. She will be remembered for the unfailing kindness and generosity shown to others during her entire life including all family and extended family members, church members and all those she came in contact with during her long, fulfilling time spent in this world.

She never had a disparaging word or feeling for anyone she met. She loved her family dearly and was especially proud of the grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren she cherished so much. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a member of the Clinton 11th ward at the time of her death after serving our Heavenly Father in many callings and capacities, including two separate temple missions to the Philippines with her husband, DeLance as well as working in the Ogden LDS Temple for many years.

She married DeLance on September 25th 1944 in Ogden, Utah and was later sealed to him in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She had a great love for her temple work and found great comfort in artwork and socializing with those she attended art classes with as well as fellow church members. She was a wonderful homemaker, seamstress, quilt maker and cook particularly famous for homemade rolls, pastries, candy and canning fruits and vegetables to the great joy of her husband and offspring.

She is survived by Joy H. White (John Hay) and Bryan (Kathy) Holjeson step-children from her husband’s previous marriage and her children Carolyn (Richard) Starke, Keith Holjeson, Gayle (Garth) Reid, Eileen Stoker and Marianne (Bruce) Jensen. She is also survived by her brothers Franklin (Marie) Lee and Russell (Shirley) Lee, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her husband DeLance, an infant son, her parents and sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at the Clinton 11th Ward, 1448 W 1800 N, Clinton, Utah Thursday, March 7, 2019 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 6:00-8:00 PM at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W Roy, UT and 9:30 – 10:30 AM prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Smithfield City Cemetery, Smithfield, Utah Please send condolences to the family at www.
