Obituary for Jack Darrell Tuggle Jack Tuggle, age 74, of Swords Creek, Virginia passed away Friday (February 22, 2019) in his home, and was surrounded by his loving family. Born March 7, 1944 in Richlands, Virginia, he was the son of the late Harvey Glenn and Maxine Reese Tuggle. He was a resident of Newport News, Virginia for over thirty-nine years, and was employed as the Plant Manager at Plymould Corporation for several years prior to moving back to Swords Creek, Virginia.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Jack will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Tuggle and Jerry Tuggle.

The survivors of Jack include his wife of fifty-five years, Jean Elswick Tuggle; two daughters, Angela Church and husband Joe; Sheila Anthony and fiancé Ric both of Jacksonville, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Heather Marshburn and husband Jonathan; Brandon Church and Kyle Anthony; one great-granddaughter, the apple of Jack’s eye, Jamison Jackie Murray; special brother-in-law, Kermit Reedy, who was a loyal, faithful, cherished friend to Jack; beloved K-9 companion, Sophie and several very special extended family members also survive.
