Jackie Conrad Lankford, 71, of Summerfield, NC passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. He was born on August 31, 1946 to the late Fred Lankford, Jr. and Virginia Ramsey Lankford who survives. In addition to his father, Mr. Lankford was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Michelle Lankford.

Mr. Lankford attended Virginia Tech and was a lifelong Hokie fan. He served in the United States Air Force. His family was very near and dear to his heart,… Read More » and he was an amazing dad and a wonderful grandfather.

Mr. Lankford, along with his brothers and brother-in-law, owned and operated Glass Dynamics in Stoneville, NC. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Wingfield Lankford; daughter, Heather Lankford Whitt and husband Matt of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Bobby Lankford of Martinsville, VA and Fred Lankford III and wife Fran of High Point, NC; sister, Patsy Lankford Oliver and husband Sherman of Ridgeway, VA; and grandchildren, Mason Whitt and Colton Whitt. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Horsepasture, VA with Pastor Doug Ramsey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brenner Children’s Hospital, 1 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory of Martinsville, VA is serving the Lankford family.
