Ronald Albert Christman, 78, of Martinsville, VA passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. He was born October 19, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Peter T. Christman and Mary Heisler Christman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Peter T. Christman, Jr., Robert L. Christman, and Ralph “Dan” Christman; daughter, Vicki Renae Christman; and son-in-law, Robert Buckner.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Holland Christman; daughters, Lisa Christman Buckner, Taryn Murphy (Scott), Ashley Christman (Melissa), and Wendy Cooper (Rob); son, Lance Christman (Michelle).

Also surviving are grandchildren, Jordan Leigh Kidd (Trent Dillon Kidd), Joshua Allan Schneider (Alex Kathleen Schneider), Gavin Michael Murphy, Teagan Lee Murphy, Brock Christman Murphy, Griffin Scott Murphy, Rachel Anne Cooper, Lauren Nicole Cooper, Spencer Robert Cooper, Zachary James Cooper, Parker Lance Christman, Carter James Christman, Holly Michelle Christman, Jared Lee Murray, and Aubree Michelle Murray; step-daughter, Tina Murray (Kevin); step-son, Jason Jones (Stephanie); grandchild, Penelope Abigail Itson, and one grandchild on the way; and five great-grandchildren, with one on the way. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville, VA with Rev. David Deisher officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association, 308 Craghead St., Danville, VA 24541. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory of Martinsville, VA will be serving the Christman family.
