Thomas Harold Rigney, 92, of Danville, Va. , passed away on April 25, 2018, at his residence. He was born December 2, 1925, in Spray, N.C. to the late Hazel Martin Justice.

Mr. Rigney was also preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Abbott Rigney. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Rigney, of Roman Eagle Rehab and Healthcare Ctr. Mr. Rigney was a loving father and grandfather.

He owned and operated Riverside Body Shop. In addition to his wife, Yvonne, Mr. Rigney is survived by his daughters, Donna Ingram (David) and Robin Schultz (Craig), all of Danville; his step-daughter, Debbie Tuggle (Wayne) of Eden, N.C.; his step-son Henry Hazelwood (Vicki) of Callands, Va. ; as well as five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Sovah Health Hospice of Danville for their extraordinary care. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018, at Highland Burial Park with Rev. Mark Ingram officiating.
