James Frank Perkins Lansing Passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the age of 91. Born March 2, 1927 to Dewey and Lydia (Tacket) Perkins Blue Diamond, Kentucky. James moved to Lansing to work for General Motors Fisher Body Plant.

He later became a self-employed commercial painter in the Greater Lansing area. James enjoyed the outdoors where he would hunt and fish. He liked history and especially researching family history.

James played the banjo and enjoyed listening to blue… Read More » grass music. Preceding him in death were his wife, Olene Perkins; brothers, Paul Perkins, Roy Perkins, J.D. Perkins, Dewey Perkins Jr.; sisters, Sandy Carr, Jessie Hogan and his parents. Surviving are his sons, Matt Perkins, Mike (Tammy) Perkins; grandchildren, James Blanchard, Ashley Blanchard, Cassandra Perkins, Victoria Perkins; great grandchild, Wyatt Blanchard; sisters, Bobbi Shade, Van Martinez; brother, Mark Perkins as well as many nieces and nephews.
