Obituary for Janie Martin (Holliefield) Janie Holliefield Martin, age 76, of Granite Falls, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at her residence. She was born May 12, 1941, daughter of the late Pless Holliefield and Emma Williams Holliefield. Janie worked in the lunchroom for Burke County Schools and was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church in Drexel.
She dearly loved her family and enjoyed the grandchildren and great-grandkids. Janie was a loving wife, mother and great grandmother to deceased husband Walter Ray Martin, daughters Rhonda Helms and Wendy Shelton, son Richard Martin, grandchildren, Tabitha, Benjamin and Kimberly and great grandchildren Syrenity, Austin, Skyla, Harley, Christopher, Alicia and Conner. The Memorial Service will be Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Shining Light Baptist Church officiated by Brother Danny Castle.
Burial will be Monday, May 7, 2018 at 2:00 in Calvary Memorial Garden Cemetery in Connelly Springs, NC. Mackie Funeral Home is serving the family.
