Jimmie’s Obituary Jimmie T. Goldade, 69, Minot, ND, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Trinity Hospital in Minot. Jimmie Tony Goldade was born October 1, 1949, the son of Tony and Anna (Ludwig) Goldade, in Harvey, ND. He was raised and educated in Harvey.

Jimmie played baseball and football while in Harvey and played baseball for the Harvey Eagles. Jimmie started working as a painter for Robillard’s Painting in Langdon, ND, and later moved to Minot and worked for Hildahl Painting and then Coffin and Ostdahl Painting. Jimmie started his own business in 1992, called Jim Goldade’s Painting and Paperhanging.

Jim very much enjoyed operating his own business. Jimmie married Carlotta R. Hoffner on July 1, 1972 in Esmond, ND. They made their home in Minot where they raised their two children, Trevor and Tessa.

Jim loved attending the sporting events that his children were involved in, from football, hockey and baseball which his son participated in to swim meets, gymnastics and track which his daughter participated in. Jimmie had a great sense of humor, was kind and generous. He loved spending the Fourth of July at his brother in law and sister in law’s, Wayne and Lavinia Hopkins, farm near Ryder, ND.

Sitting by an outdoor campfire was the best relaxation of all. Jim truly loved his wife of 46 years, Carlotta, his son Trevor and his wife Jennifer, and their two children, Scott and Emerson, and his daughter Tessa and her husband Tony Grabow. Jimmie was blessed with a great family and many activities which he enjoyed, such as playing cards, fishing, listening to country and western music and would build everything including wishing wells, end tables, coffee tables, swing sets and a pontoon.

A special thank you to Rose Minnerup, Jeanette Haffner, and Pam Seibert for their caregiving and love over the past years. Jimmie was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot. His loving family includes: wife of 46 years, Carlotta, Minot; children, Trevor (Jen) Goldade, Bismarck, ND and Tessa (Tony) Grabow, Minot; grandchildren, Scott Erickson and Emerson Lee Goldade; step-mother, Helen Goldade, Harvey, ND; brother, Lloyd (Linda) Goldade, Minot; sister, Angeline McCarty, Vancouver, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Anna; and a brother-in-law, Ron McCarty. Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Interment: St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Esmond, ND.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register book on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Vigil Prayer Service: Friday at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
