Josefina was passionate about Christ. She was very active in the church until limited by health. She was a prayer warrior.

She always had her rosary close at hand. When it was time to leave for home or on a journey, she would bless us with “En el nombre del Padre, el Hijo y el Espirito Santo”. She was a devoted housewife.

She loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She kept a tidy house and was a fantastic cook. Nobody ever left her house hungry.

Josefina loved birds. The sound of them singing made her happy. She had quite a collection in her aviary.

Josefina is survived by her children Rebecca Rodriquez, Justo Barba, Maria Elena Guerra (Richard), Alicia Johnston, Ernestina Everett (John), Alberto Barba, sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Mama, there is an emptiness in our hearts that won’t be filled until we are with you again. We know where your journey is taking you. Que Dios te bendiga en nombre del Padre, el Hijo y el Espiritu Santo.

Amen.
