Brigida Borge also known as Esper, 79, of Santa Maria, CA passed away on Sunday April 8, 2018. Brigida was born in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines on October 8, 1938. She came to the US in 1973 and remained in the Santa Maria Valley until her passing.

Brigida was a skillful dress maker and found great joy in creating dresses and clothing for her close friends and family. She also was an extremely good cook. She was often called upon to make her delicious Filipino dishes for large family… Read More » gatherings.

Everyone always enjoyed her cooking and she showed her love through her food. She was a lively soul, always laughing and bringing so much fun wherever she went. Before retiring, Brigida ended her professional career as a caregiver.

Brigida is survived by her sister, Martha Gomes,of Santa Maria, CA, her brothers, Isaac Mepua also of Santa Maria and Saturnino Mepua of Urdaneta, Pangasisnan, PI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Brigida was preceded in death by her husband Buenaventura (Benny) Borge and her son Glen Borge.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary at 5:00 pm on Friday, April 13, 2018 with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. Mass and funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1:30 pm at St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
