William M. Baldiviez (Bill), 81, passed away on April 6, 2018. Bill was born in Santa Maria CA on March 18, 1937. He attended local schools, graduating from Santa Maria High School and served in the United States Army Reserve.

Bill was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. His faith in God was a driving force for him, which helped him through many tough times. Bill always looked forward to family gatherings and especially the holidays. He was a big fan of the Dodgers and the Raiders and really enjoyed watching the games with his cousin Ernie. He loved gardening and always planted colorful flowers.

In 2010 he won a Santa Maria Valley Beautiful Award for his colorful front yard, which was a very proud moment for him. Bill is survived by his three brothers, Richard Baldiviez (Joetta), Manuel Baldiviez (Adela), Edward Baldiviez (Patsy) and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Manuel T. Baldiviez, mother Celia Esquivel Baldiviez and sister Virginia B. Martinez.

A visitation will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018 in the Chapel of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, with a Rosary to follow at 5:00 pm. On Monday, April 16, 2018 at 9:30 am a funeral mass will be held at St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, followed by a burial at Santa Maria Cemetery.
