Obituary for Joshua Kevin Petty Joshua Kevin Petty, of Rockwall, TX, passed away June 26, 2018, at the age of 28. He was born June 5, 1990, in Dallas, TX, to Leland Brian and Linda Elaine (Ham) Petty. A country boy at heart, Joshua loved country-western dancing, hunting and fishing with his dad.

Growing up he loved rollerblade hockey and skating at the skating rink. As he grew up his interests changed to motorcycles, fast cars and racing. He became a mechanic, working on small engines.

Joshua enjoyed playing pool and spending time with his friends. He loved pizza, jerky, hot Cheetos and “Texas Trash”. Joshua loved his siblings and grandparents very much and will be missed dearly.

Joshua is survived by his father and stepmother: Leland Brian Petty and Sally Jo Parise′ of Rockwall; grandparents: Tommy and Elizabeth Harvell of Wills Point, TX, and Eloise Ham of Duncanville, TX: siblings: twin sister Joyia Krista Petty of Newark, NJ, Brian Justin Petty of Rowlett, TX, Thomas Jason Davis of Wills Point and Aislyn Elizabeth Garbs of Denton, TX; uncles and aunts: Kim and Ronald Griffin of Trenton, TX, Kathie and John Smelser of Round Rock, TX, Tommy Harvell of Wills Point, Larry and Bobbie Ham also of Wills Point and Chris Ham of Duncanville; along with numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother: Linda Elaine Petty; and grandparents: Leland and Vaudrey Petty, and Louis Ham of Duncanville. An Afternoon of Remembrance will be held Sunday, July 1, 2018, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Location from 4:00 to 6:00pm.

As an alternative to flowers, the family requests that memorials in Joshua’s name be made to First Presbyterian Church at PO Box 682, Rockwall, TX 75087. Previous Events Afternoon of Remembrance , JUL 1.
