Kenneth’s Obituary Kenneth H. Small October 21, 1964 – December 23, 2018 SOUTH PORTLAND – Kenneth Howard Small, 54, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 23, 2018. Ken was born October 21, 1964, in Portland, Maine, the oldest son of Stanley Bruce and Lois Anne (Shaw) Small. He was raised and educated in Portland, graduating from Deering High School in 1983.

Upon graduation, he began his working career at B&M Beans and then Applicator Sales. Later, he joined Marden’s where he was employed for more than 20 years holding a number of different positions. He enjoyed his childhood summers camping and boating at Nason’s Beach with his family.

In his early teen years, Ken took pleasure in going fishing and hunting with his father or trapping with his neighborhood friend. In his late twenties he developed a strong interest in bowling and bicycling. Though his best times were spent playing his guitar and watching his favorite NFL team, the Minnesota Vikings.

Both of which, he spent a great deal of time doing with his longtime friend, Louie. He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his brothers, James and his wife Rose (Labrie), Scott and his wife Heather (Zeller); niece, Tori and nephews, Jacob and Sean.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5, at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland, ME 04106. Visiting hour will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed with a service at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be expressed online at www. hobbsfuneralhome.com.
