Kermie Edward Bledsoe, 90, of Grantsville, MD, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at WMHS Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD. Born December 28, 1927, in Dunbar, VA, he was the son of the late Riley and Gertrude (Parish) Bledsoe. Mr. Bledsoe was a mechanic in refrigeration and appliance repair and prior was employed as a print press machine operator for the Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C.

He was also an auto mechanic and a member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God. Kermie’s hobby was creating stained glass items, including stained glass windows for a local church. He was best known as “Mr. Fixit”, who was an avid deer and turkey hunter, and enjoyed boating and camping.

He could tackle any repair project with success. He is survived by his wife, Violet Adel (Broadwater) Bledsoe; one son, Kermie S. (Debbi) Bledsoe, Martinsburg, WV; one brother, Jack (Ruth) Bledsoe, Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren, Heidi, Michelle, Kermie Joshua, Aimee and Ronald; four great-grandchildren, Bradley, Scott, Jessie and Godric. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.

Scott A. Gray officiating. Interment will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.
