Obituary for Lawrence Tiller Lawrence Tiller, age 68, of Meadowview, Virginia, formerly of Buchanan County, Virginia passed away Thursday (December 13, 2018) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born December 1, 1950 in Buchanan County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Garland and Lennie Jane Tiller. A lifelong resident of southwest Virginia, he was a member of Little Flock Holiness Church.

He had been employed as a coal miner for Island Creek/CONSOL for nineteen years and later as a construction worker for Matney Construction for fourteen years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodwork, riding four-wheelers and working in his garden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

In his generation, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Diane Tiller of the home; two children, Robbie Tiller and wife, Sandra of Meadowview, Virginia and Rhonda Compton and husband, Samuel of Saltville, Virginia; three granddaughters, Katie, Sarah and Sophia; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Kinsley and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park at Damascus, Virginia. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Sunset Memorial Park by 1:30 PM.

Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6 PM Sunday at the Honaker Funeral Home, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7 PM. Online condolences may be made at www.
