Obituary for Tivis Arnold Osborne Mr. Tivis Arnold Osborne, age 88, of Belfast, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (January 22, 2019) in a Lebanon, Virginia, hospital. Born April 8, 1930 in Buchanan County, Virginia, he was a son of the late William McHenry “Mack” and Susan Jane “Jenny” Sayers Osborne. He had spent most of his life in the area and loved playing music.
He had formerly been employed as a coal miner and as a plant worker. He lived life to the fullest and loved every minute of his 88 year adventure. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Della Smith Osborne, second wife, Judy Compton Osborne, step-son, Danny Harris, brothers, Noah Osborne, King Osborne, Elmer Osborne, Robert Osborne, and Tom Osborne, and sisters, Molly Webb, Nannie Messick, Tiny Rasnake, and Catherine Powers.
Survivors include one daughter, Regina Hylton and husband, Brad of Belfast; step-daughter-in-law, Cynthia Ward Harris of Pounding Mill; one sister, Daisy Burke of Buchanan County, Virginia; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Wayne Harrison and Rev.
Eric Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Timmy Sanders, Aaron Burke, Adam Burke, James Owens, Brad Hylton, and Wayne Barnhart.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
