Leroy Franklin Buck Fazenbaker , April 19, 1942 — January 23, 2019

Leroy Franklin “Buck” Fazenbaker, 76, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born April 19, 1942, in Accident, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Webster and Ethel Marie (Butler) Fazenbaker. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Gary Leroy Fazenbaker; three brothers and two sisters.

Leroy worked at Mettiki Coal Corporation for 40 years as a Hoist Operator. He was a good carpenter and mechanic and loved playing music and his guitar. He is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Nancy Louise (Wilson) Fazenbaker; one daughter, Evelyn Marie “Lynnie” Slone and husband, John, Oakland; one brother, Donald Fazenbaker, Lonaconing, MD; five sisters, Hazel Michael and Shirley Ennis, both of MI; Betty Hensley and Margaret Shell, both of Baltimore, MD; Edith Guthrie, Grantsville, MD; two grandchildren, John and Erica Slone.

At Leroy’s request, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD, 21550, is in charge of his arrangements.
