Linda Elaine (Oester) House, 66, of Grantsville, MD, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018, at her home. Born June 16, 1951, in Greenville Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Ray and Leona Ann (Mckenzie) Oester. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar “Dick” Oester and Donald Oester; two sisters, Ada House and Bonnie Minick.

Linda was a homemaker and Brethren by faith. She also worked as a cashier at Buckel’s Store, a seamstress at the Flushing Shirt Factory, a housekeeper at Casselman Inn and would clean residential homes. She is survived by her husband, Gorden Edward “Two Thumbs” House; a son, Ronald (Brandy) House, Grantsville; a daughter, Jennifer (Keith) Arnold, Cumberland, MD; two brothers, David Oester, Meyersdale, PA; Charles “Chuck” Oester, Spring, PA; two sisters, Clara Christner, Meyersdale; Lois Rugg, Springs; four grandchildren, Courtney Arnold, Kaitlynn House, Stephanie House and Brandon House At Linda’s request she will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, is in charge of her arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County, P.O. Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.
