Obituary for Mrs. Linda Marie Siskavich Linda Marie Siskavich, 70, of Lyon Mountain passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at home surrounded by her many loved ones. Linda was born on October 6, 1947 in Potsdam, NY, the daughter of Arthur and Lorraine (Paige) Shantie. Linda was a retired LPN who devoted much of her career to working with children and those with developmental disabilities.

She worked for Franklin County ARC, Clinton County ARC, Clinton County Nursing Home, CVPH Medical Center and JCEO Head Start in Clinton County. She was a voracious reader who also enjoyed her perennial flower gardens, pressing her luck at the casino, and taking long drives in her convertible VW Beetle, music always blaring. Linda was also an incredible cook and baker, making many perfect loaves of bread over the years and a mean raspberry pie.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother and displayed her fiery spunk and cheeky sense of humor right up until the very end of her life. Linda leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Joseph and ten children, daughters, Annette Bradshaw, Lorraine Lobdell and her husband Raye, Pamela Pitts and her husband Richard, Virginia Bosley and her husband Daniel, Kristin Nichols and her husband Bradley and Kimberly Siskavich; sons Joseph Siskavich and his wife Cheryl, Andrew Siskavich, James Siskavich and his wife Kayla and Michael Siskavich and his fiancé Lauren. She will also be sorely missed by her grandchildren, Justin Siskavich, Chloe Lobdell, Lydia Pivetta, Rylee Pivetta and Preston Nichols; two great-grandchildren, Bella and Sophia; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Frego; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sharon Shantie, Judith and Robert Bolak; her very special cousin, Cheryll Terrance; several brothers-in-law, Francis and Myrtle Siskavich, Robert Siskavich, William and Patricia Siskavich and Edward and Priscilla Siskavich.

Linda is predeceased by her parents and a sibling, Preston Shantie. At Linda’s request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Church, Lyon Mountain on Thursday, May 24 at 10 a.m. with Rev.
