Lois F. St. Onge, 101, of Marquette, died early Thursday morning, June 21, 2018 at the Norlite Nursing Center. Lois was born on August 28, 1916 in Newberry, Michigan, the last surviving child of Anson and Ethel (Alger) McCracken. She was a Marquette resident most of her life other than living a few years in India.

Lois was formerly employed in the admitting office at Marquette General Hospital for many years prior to joining the Marquette Urology office at the Upper Peninsula… Read More » Medical Center until her retirement. She was a former member of the local chapter of Business and Professional Women as well as the Marquette Kennel Club. In her free time, Lois loved to cook and entertain for friends as well as spend time with her dogs.

Survivors include two nieces, Marcia McCracken of Marquette and Pat Andray of Sault Ste. Marie; four nephews, Robert Peters of Los Angeles, CA, LeRoy Shoecraft of Ft. Worth, TX, Bill McCracken and David McCracken; also a very special friend, Sue Lyons of Marquette.

Preceding Lois in death besides her parents were three sisters, Helen E. McCracken, Donna Peters and Theo Shoecraft; two brothers, Jim McCracken and Jack L. McCracken; one nephew, Jimmy McCracken and nieces, Betty Hyde and Bonnie Stewart. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 5 at 1 p.m. at the Park Cemetery with Rev. Kristi Hintz officiating.

A luncheon will take place at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home immediately following the service.
