EDGERTON—Lois H. Kjendle, age 90, of Edgerton passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care. She was born on March 9, 1928, daughter of Otto and Hattie (Nickel) Maves in Kilbourn, WI. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Edgerton, where she was baptized and confirmed.

She graduated from Edgerton High School. Lois married the love of her life, Robert E. Kjendle, on February 19, 1949 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2012.

Lois was devoted to her family and her faith was strong. She had a kind, generous heart, and gave selflessly her entire life, always putting the needs and wants of her family first. Lois was a realtor, bookkeeper and receptionist but first and foremost a loving and dedicated homemaker.

She is going to be dearly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Lois is survived by her 3 children: Rob (Melanie Balas) Kjendle of Janesville, Craig (Jay) Kjendle of Milton, and Julie (Robert) Jansen of Edgerton; 4 grandchildren: Jonathan Kjendle of Janesville, Jennifer Kjendle of Beaver Dam, Craig Jansen of Lombard, IL, and Chris (Chaelyn Deremer) Kjendle of Janesville; 2 great grandchildren. Craig “CJ” Kjendle and Mason Kjendle; sister, Dona Amudjeff of Marion, IA; sister in law, Lucy Maves of Edgerton, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers, LaVerne and Rolland; and 2 sisters, Elvira Purnell and Eleanor Maves. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April, 13, 2018, at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, Edgerton, with Rev.

Carl Seeger officiating. Burial will be in Fassett Cemetery, Edgerton. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

A special heartfelt “Thank You” to Pastor Seeger, Rock Haven staff, especially Donna and Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care for your exceptional care and compassion throughout Mom’s final journey Home.
