Obituary for Lorraine S. “Rainy” Slike Lorraine S. Slike, 90, of Lebanon and formerly of Jonestown, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018, at her home. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Slike, Sr. Born in Jonestown on July 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sara Bashore Wood. For several years Lorraine had worked in the cafeteria at Northern Lebanon.

She then retired from Cornwall-Lebanon School District after working in the cafeteria there for several years. She was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ, Jonestown and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid pet lover and she enjoyed bird watching, gardening, her flowers, cooking and attending the Hershey Bears games, where she was a season ticket holder for many years.

She is survived by her daughter Suzanne R. wife of Douglas J. Arnold of Lebanon; grandsons Douglas Paul Arnold of Blackpool, England and Daniel Mark Arnold of Jonestown; sisters Patricia Boltz of Jonestown and Eleanor Wasson of Grass Valley, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Paul E. Slike, Jr., grandson David Michael Arnold, brother Clifford Wood, and sisters Elizabeth Bachman, Evelyn Peffley, Ethel Shaak and Kathryn Gerhart. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt.

72 & Camp Meeting Rd. , Jonestown. There will be no viewing, but a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at the Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice For All Seasons, 280 S. Hill Drive, Grantville, PA 17028, Ting Ministries, 29 E. Poplar St., Lebanon, PA 17042 or to the Humane Society of Lebanon Co., 150 N. Ramona Rd. , Myerstown, PA 17067.
