Obituary of Louise Rose Mieske Louise Mieske, 96, of Linwood, our compassionate, appreciative, hard-working, and most devoted mother and grandmother was born into eternal life on the morning of Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Louise was born in Bay County on March 28, 1922, the daughter of the late August and Agnes (Kessler) Pfenninger. She went on to meet the neighbor boy, Frederick Walter Mieske.

They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on September 28, 1940. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1987. Family always came first with Louise.

She was always there for anyone in need, enjoyed caring for others, and successfully raised six children, giving them all her love and support, all while tending to the duties of the family farm. In her younger years, Louise enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, and canning. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Frederick Mieske, Jr., (wife, Lynn), Karen Rosenbrock (husband, Norm), Richard Mieske (wife, Deb), Judy Lauria (husband, Larry), Dan Mieske (wife, Di), along with numerous grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren.

Louise was the last surviving family member of the Pfenninger’s and leaves many nieces and nephews as well. In addition to her parents and her husband, Louise was welcomed home to heaven by her son, David Mieske; brother, Lawrence; sisters, Lyda, Lila, and Lucille, and daughters-in-law, Amy Mieske and Judy Mieske. Louise’s family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, June 25, 2018, from 12:00 Noon until Louise’s 1:00 PM Memorial Liturgy at Prince of Peace Parish (St. Valentine Church), 999 Nine Mile Rd.

, Beaver Twp. Fr. Patrick C. O’Connor will officiate with the Rite of Committal to follow in St. Valentine Cemetery.
