Obituary for Lyle Klinginsmith Lyle D. Klinginsmith, 90 of Grand Island died Monday, December 24, 2018. Services will be 1 PM Wednesday, January 2nd at All Faiths Funeral Home. Daniel Naranjo will officiate.

Burial will be at 3 PM Wednesday in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Scotia. Military honors will be rendered by the US Marine Corp and the Scotia American Legion Post 150.

Visitation will be an hour prior to service time. Lyle was born October 10, 1928 at North Loup the son of Frank Maxwell and Bessie (Gabaurer) Klinginsmith. He was raised on a farm and graduated from North Loup High School class of 1946.

He was united in marriage to Ina Olsen on January 6, 1948. Lyle served in the US Marine Corp from 1952-1954 during the Korean War. Following his service, he and Ina farmed south of North Loup, then Northwest of Scotia and later purchased their own farm in the Davis Creek area near Loup City.

Later he was employed for several years by the Griswold Seed Company, retiring in 1992. He is a member of the American Legion. Lyle enjoyed going to breakfast with friends, playing cards, watching westerns, riding horses camping and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 71 years, Ina; son, Randy (Sheila) Klinginsmith of Kearney; grandson, Nathan (Mindy) Klinginsmith and great-grandchildren, Arielle, Abrielle and Asher and a sister, Judy Weeks of Aurora. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harold. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designations.
