Obituary for Tami L. Fuqua Tami L. Fuqua, 49, of Grand Island former longtime resident of Kearney, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Celebration of Life Gathering for Tami will be held on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Chicken Coop Banquet Center in Kearney. All Faiths Funeral Home of Grand Island is entrusted with arrangements.

Tami was born on April 7, 1969 in Kearney daughter of Rickey and Gale (Kroll) Fuqua. Tami graduated from Gibbon High School and continued her education earning her Registered Nursing License. She was employed for several years caring for the residents of local nursing homes.

In recent years she was proud to be a tax consultant for Liberty Tax Service. Tami had an eye for collecting. She loved frogs and cows and even looking for her granddaughter’s favorite, Elmo and Mickey Mouse.

Tami was a dreamer and a thinker when it came to her fabric collection, which became extensive. She was fabulous and loved bright colors, and her tattoos. Her memory is cherished by her son, Tyler (Lizz) Fuqua of Kearney; granddaughter, Tiana; father and stepmother, Rickey and Cheryl Fuqua of Red Cloud; brothers, Tim (Cindy) Fuqua and Jeff (Candy) Fuqua both of Kearney; sister, Jackie (Jay) Fields of Red Cloud; along with numerous extended family and friends.
