Marge Duncan July 16, 1934 – December 19, 2017 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Margaret Ann (Dunn) Duncan, age 83 of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19th, 2017. Born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Cecil Anthony and Eva (Kinley) Dunn.

Marge began a career in entertainment as a young girl. She danced and sang in USO shows across the country. She had a stint with the Soupy Sales television show as a dancer and performed in a stage production produced by Leonard Nimoy.

Proud accomplishments, yet her proudest were her family. Upon settling down, she enjoyed a career with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers in Dearborn, MI. She soon met longtime partner Ted Laforet and she was off on life’s second adventure.

They enjoyed living many years in Las Vegas Nevada and then made their way to Loudon county where they became very involved in American Legion activities. In her final years, Marge enjoyed her life to its fullest. She may have been small in stature, but her presence filled a room.

She was the first one to introduce herself to make a stranger feel welcome and friendships were born. Her absence will be missed at Post 120. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Bill and Jim Dunn and husband, Lee Duncan.

Survivors include partner of 26 years, Ted Laforet, Lenoir City; son, Mike (Rita) McKaig, Wyandotte, MI; daughters, Terry (Joe) Nash, Taylor, MI and Cherie (Greg) Knox, Algonac, MI; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren with two great-great grands. A prayer service will be held 6:45 Friday, Dec. 22 with Rev.

Brian Courtney officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 6:45 PM Friday prior to the prayer service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, 406 Wharf St. Loudon, TN 37774. www.
