Obituary of Marshall Studd Marshall E. Studd, 89, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday (April 19, 2018) in his home. A lifelong area resident he was born November 30, 1928 in Jamestown, the son of the late Lee and Essie Meabon Studd. Marshall was a graduate of Falconer High School and was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953.

In earlier years he was employed by Steel Partitions and prior to retirement in 1991 he was employed by Carborundom-Monofrax. In earlier years Marshall played professional minor league baseball for Steel Partitions. He was a member of the Samuel Derby Post, American Legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing and playing horseshoes.

Surviving are his daughter Michele (Charles) Raeon of Jamestown, his daughter-in-law Sandie Studd of Orchard Park, NY; nine grandchildren: Tiffany (Troy) Rondema, Brandon Studd all of Portland, OR, Sarah (Brandon) Langer-Hall of Raleigh, NC, Shannon (Daniel) Nelligan of Orchard Park, Brian (Amy) Langer, William Langer all of Hamburg; Christine (Brendon) Rhoney of Beaverton, OR, Nicole Raeon of Stuart, Fl, Charles A. Raeon of Jamestown; thirteen great grandchildren and a sister June Studd of Gerry; his loving friends: Yvonne W., Alice G. Al W, Sue C., and Lenny H. He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice K. Carlson Studd whom he married July 3, 1951, who died November 14, 2008; his son Mark Studd in 2009; two sisters: Lillian Wade, Leona Watson; two brothers Loris and Warren Studd. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday (May 5, 2018) in the Falconer Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

Pastor Ben Gerring will officiate. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer. Memorial contributions may be donated to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Ave.
