Mary A. (Maietta) Mottola, 94, of Allison Park, formerly of Vandergrift, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 in Allison Park surrounded by her loving family. Born October 21, 1923 in Vandergrift, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (DeBenedictis) Maietta. Mary was a 1941 graduate of Vandergrift High School, and lived in Vandergrift most of her life, until moving to Allison Park three years ago.

Mary was a life-long member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church and… Read More » the Catholic Daughters of America both of Vandergrift. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, singing, and playing the piano. Mary most loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Madeline Putignano, Susan Maietta; and her brothers, Dominic and Patsy Maietta. Mary is survived by her husband of 71 years, Dr. Frank J. Mottola of Allison Park; children, Frank (Sally) Mottola of New Milford, NJ; Dennis (Patti) Mottola of Spring, TX; Robert (Cheryl) Mottola of Hamburg, NY; Michael (Janis) Mottola of Gibsonia; grandchildren, Marisol, Ross, Daniel (Brittany), Matthew, Nicole, Jennifer, Brandon, Mark, Stephen, and Marissa Mottola; siblings, Josephine P. Turano of Lower Burrell, Michael (Carroll) Maietta of Orange, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Brady-Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 429 Franklin Ave.

Vandergrift. Parting Prayers of transfer will begin at 11:30 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, 303 Franklin Ave. , Vandergrift, with Father John Euker as celebrant.

Private entombment in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
