Joseph Spina, 76, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Vandergrift, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, FL. Born June 5, 1942 in Mandatoriccio, Cosenza, Italy, he was a son of the late Salvatore Spina & Domaschina (Flotta) Spina. Joseph’s career saw him employed in Italy in construction with brother Emilio, and for a time at Burrell Construction when he moved to the United States.

Joseph was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching soccer, gardening, and playing cards at the Sons Of Italy.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 49 years, Teresa (Fazio) Spina; son, Salvatore Spina of Erie; daughter, Vera (Jason Greenwald) Spina of Vandergrift; and two brothers, Emilio and Luigi, both in Italy. Friends will be received on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. in the Brady-Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 429 Franklin Ave. , Vandergrift.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift, with Father James Loew, O.S.B. as celebrant. Entombment in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
