Wenona G. “Nonie” (Crooks) Rowe, 90, of Washington Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Presbyterian Senior Care at the Willows, Oakmont. Born July 15, 1928 in Vandergrift, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Crooks and Mary (McDermott) Mingino. Nonie moved back to Washington Township in 1999 after spending 31 years in Michigan.

In… Read More » addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Swarts; sisters, Joanne Bills, Betty Watkins, Marion Miller, Gloria Crooks, Dorothy Crooks; and a brother, Kenny Crooks.

Nonie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Daryl D. Rowe; daughters, Linda (Alfred) Roth of West Chester, PA, Susan Boyd of Harrison Township; sons, Walter Durandetto of New Boston, MI, Theodore Durandetto of Grass Lake, MI; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, William (Leona) Crooks of Hyde Park; sister, Pearl Lyscas of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Ave. , Apollo.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home with Pastor Scott Fairman officiating. Private interment in Greenwood Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Nonie’s memory.
