Mary Alice Hoover Wyatt, 75, of Burnsville, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Mission Hospital. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Jessie and Helen Murphy Hoover. She was also preceded in death by brothers: Clifton “Bud” Hoover, Daniel Hoover and David Hoover; 2 sisters: Edna Reeves and Donna Robinson; and, her husband: Robert Wyatt.

Alice enjoyed flowers, birds, gardening and life. Surviving are 3 children: Bobby Wyatt and wife, Kim, of Lincolnton, Debbie Salyer and husband, Lance, of Gray, TN, and Valerie White and husband, Chuck, of Elizabethton, TN; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Hazel Roberts of Burnsville and Wilma McCall of Asheville; 3 brothers: Ed Hoover of Spruce Pine, Ricky Hoover of Newdale and Dennis Hoover of Lincolnton; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2PM in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.

Rev. Andrew Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2PM.
