Phyllis Yvonne Wenhold, May 04, 1937 — January 20, 2019

Phyllis Yvonne’s Obituary Phyllis Yvonne Wenhold, formerly of Hilltown Township and Sellersville, PA, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019, in the Community at Rockhill, West Rockhill Twp. , PA, where she loved being a resident for the past eight months. She was 81.

She was the wife of the late Paul E. Wenhold who died May 29, 2012. Born in Silverdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Lillian (Kulp) Moyer. She was a 1955 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA.

Mrs. Wenhold worked as a secretary for her brother-in-law, Larry Snyder, DDS, at his dental practice in Hatfield, PA, from 1982 until retiring in 1992. Previously, she was employed as the Office Manager for the former Perkasie Uniform Co., Perkasie, for over 30 years. She was a member of Calvary Church of Souderton, Souderton, PA.

Mrs. Wenhold had a special fondness for nature and God’s wonderful creations, particularly animals, loving every animal in which she ever came in contact. She also loved music, especially piano and “Big Band” music. An excellent seamstress, she enjoyed making her own clothes and sewed custom liners for Longaberger Baskets which she sold at numerous craft shows from 1992 to 2000.

A long-time volunteer for Pennridge Meals on Wheels, she and her husband were avid “snowbirds” to Dunnellon, FL, from 2000 to 2009. She is survived by her son, Thomas P. Wenhold and his wife Diana L., of Sellersville, PA; her daughter-in-law, Valencia Wenhold, of Hilltown Twp. , PA; her granddaughter, Valerie Stephens, of Hatfield, PA; five great grandchildren, Dylan, Katie, Erica, Aidan and Gary; her sister, Sharon Snyder and her husband Dr. Larry, of Perkasie, PA; and her beloved cat and companion, Pepper.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Wenhold, on September 30, 2006. Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Rockhill Community Chapel, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Church of Souderton Cemetery, Souderton, PA.
