Obituary for Ralph D Laskowski Ralph D. Laskowski, 88 of Grand Island died Monday, May 14, 2018 at Riverside Lodge. Celebration of life service will be 10:30 AM Friday, May 25th at the Grace Lutheran Church. Reverend Daniel Bremer will officiate.

Military honors will be rendered following the service at the church. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Madison, NE. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Ralph was born March 7, 1930 at Sheffield, Iowa the son of Theodore and Ethel (Deyo) Laskowski. He was raised at Sheffield where he graduated from high school and worked at the Sheffield Press until he served during the Korean War in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954 and following that until he moved to Columbus. On April 19, 1958 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Knapp.

They lived in Columbus for ten years where he worked for the Columbus Telegram. They then moved to Grand Island where he worked for the Grand Island Independent for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine, who died on February 7, 2004 and also sisters Elaine Laskowski, Zola (Bill) Ayers, Mabel (Lafe) Turner, and brothers Gerald Laskowski and Melvin Laskowski.

He is survived by his sister, Dixie (Thomas) Brown of Bella Vista, Arkansas, many loving nieces and nephews and a host of friends Memorials are suggested to either Grace Lutheran Church or Heartland Lutheran High School.
