Obituary for Connie Hameloth “Connie” Constance D. Hameloth, 64 of Grand Island died Thursday, May 10, 2018 with her loving family at her side. Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM Wednesday, May 16th at Third City Christian Church along with a Nightingale Nursing Service. Reverend Scott Jones will officiate.
Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Connie was born on August 23, 1953 at Neligh, NE the daughter of Donald Warren and Marjorie Mae (Lorenzen) Lambert.
She was raised on the Lambert Ranch near Palmer. She graduated from Palmer High School class of 1971. In 1974 she graduated with her nursing degree from Nebraska Methodist in Omaha.
On April 26, 1975 she was united in marriage to Steven Hameloth at the United Methodist Church in Palmer. They made their home in Grand Island. Connie began her nursing career as a surgical nurse with the Lutheran Hospital which later became St. Francis Medical Center.
Following over 30 years as a surgical nurse she became Oncology Community Outreach Coordinator. Connie was passionate about helping others medically and spiritually. She helped many and was loved by all.
Her love for family was highlighted by becoming the most amazing grandma. She loved her bible study groups and enjoyed camping. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Steven; children, Joseph Hameloth of Grand Island, Brooke (Brian) Nienaber of Gretna and Natalie (Brandon) Nielsen of St. Libory; grandchildren, Haden Weber, Harrison Weber, Hunter Douglass, Halle Nienaber, Neleigh Nielsen, Hudson Nienaber, Alexa Nielsen and Charlie Nielson; her parents, Warren and Marjorie Lambert of Palmer; her siblings, Cindy Peterson of Estes Park, CO, Twyla (Mark) Moraczewski of Gretna, Christopher (Michelle) Lambert of Gering, Don (Kim) Lambert of Palmer and Al (Deb) Lambert of Lincoln; her mother-in-law, Jean Hameloth of St. Paul; sister-in-law, Deb (Clare) Kurz of Palmer and brother-in-law, Wayne (Joyce) Hameloth of Louisville, KY.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; father-in-law, Harold Hameloth and brother-in-law, Gary Hameloth. Memorials are suggested to either the GRACE Foundation, the Cancer Treatment Center or Third City Christian Church.
