Regena Ladell Burkett, 63, of West Union, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 29, 2019. She was reunited with the love of her life Steve Burkett. A native of Oconee County, SC, Mrs. Burkett was the daughter of Samuel Ladell Martin (Hilda) and the late Gladys Earlene Sloan Martin.

Regena loved all her family and friends and she will be remembered not only as a mother, but a best friend. She danced through life and lived every minute to the fullest. Mrs. Burkett was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Burkett is survived by her son: Steven Samuel Chase Burkett (Ashley); daughter: Stephanie Ladell Davis (Julian); brother: Robert Michael Martin; and grandchildren: Dylan Davis, Layla Davis and Olivia Burkett. In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Burkett was preceded in death by her grandmother: Mildred Sloan. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 1, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted. The family is at the home of the daughter, 160 Cedar Lane Road, Westminster, SC 29693.
