Robert Leon Walker October 07, 1940 – January 29, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Robert Leon Walker age 78 of McAlester died Tuesday January 29, 2019 in McAlester. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday February 2, 2019 in the Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Randy Tidmore will be the officiant.

Interment will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in McAlester under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Visitation will be on Friday February 1, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Robert was born October 7, 1940 in Stuart, Oklahoma to his parents Arthur Robert & Genida Iona (Hobbs) Walker.

He was raised and received his early education in Stuart. At the age of 17 he moved to Kiowa. It was in 1968 he began his work career at O.S.P. in McAlester and retired from there in 1995 after 27 years of service.

He was a 40 year member of the C & Tyler Church of Christ. Robert was a disciplined walker of 15 miles a day until failing health caused him to retire. Survivors are one sister Donna & husband Paul Grimes of McAlester.

Brother Homer Walker of Tulsa. And many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur & Genida Walker and a sister Laura Jane Brown.
