Johnny Lee Schiller November 20, 1944 – January 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Johnny Lee Schiller, 74, of McAlester, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Centerpoint Cemetery near Wilburton with Rev. Jamie Kirkpatrick officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Schiller, Tyler Schiller, Jacob Schiller, Royce Wilkins, Brandon Wilkins, and Brad Collins. Johnny Lee was born on November 20, 1944 in Hartshorne to Edgar Frank and Oweeta (Christian) Schiller. He graduated from Hartshorne High School in the class of 1962 and continued his education at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton.

He served in the National Guard Army Reserves for a number of years. He married Linda Dukes on June 15, 1968 in Hartshorne. Johnny retired as a cable splicer for South Western Bell Telephone after working for 32 years.

He later worked for Walnut Grove Living Center in maintenance for 11 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sitting on his porch, and spending time with his grandchildren. Johnny is survived by his wife: Linda Schiller of the home; son and daughter-in-law: Bryan and Jessica Schiller of McAlester; daughter and son-in-law: Kristi and Royce Wilkins of McAlester; grandchildren: Tyler Schiller and wife, Destini, Jacob Schiller and wife, Kelsea, Rebecca Tribble and husband, Josh, Kyle Wilkins and wife, Shelby, Brandon Wilkins, Brooke Wilkins, Cody Schiller, and Ty Schiller, four great-granddaughters; a great-grandson; sister: Shirley Day and husband, Roger; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father: Edgar Schiller, mother: Oweeta Boyles, and a sister: Sherri Lynn Davenport.
