Robert R. Greenman, age 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. He was born in La Porte, Indiana on July 5, 1930, to the late Robert Greenman and Esther Voss. Robert was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering.

He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. On April 29, 1989 he married Margery (Nichelson) Greenman and she preceded him in death. Robert retired from Bell Telephone Labs in the early 90’s after many years of service as an electrical engineer.

He was an active member of the Fishers United Methodist Church. He was involved in the choir, the food pantry ministry, and very active in the 50 plus club at the church. Robert had a passion for photography and art.

He enjoyed painting, model railroading, and music. He was a very kind person who will be missed by his family and friends. Robert is survived by his Son, Robert (Dee) Greenman, Jr. of Carmel, IN, Son, William Greenman of Carmel, Daughter, Elizabeth Greenman of Byers, CO, Step daughter, DeeDee (Mark) Sigler of Frankton, Step Daughter, Sharon Noland of Greenwood, Step daughter, Kay (Fiance (Tony Hudson)) Austin of Indianapolis, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, half brother, Hal Braudy, first spouse, Margaret Greenman of Carmel Robert was preceded in death by his Father, Robert B. Greenman, Mother, Esther Voss, Wife, Margery Greenman.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Fishers United Methodist Church, 9691 E. 116th St., Fishers, IN 46037 . Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday prior to the memorial service from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Fishers.
