Obituary of Robert Moore Robert J. “Bob” Moore, age 81, of Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Guthrie Corning Hospital. He was born on January 10, 1937 in Corning, the son of Charles DeForrest and Elizabeth (Beckman) Osgood, his natural parents. However, he was raised and grew up knowing that Albert and Frances Moore were his adoptive parents.

He married Darline Sylvia Eddy on August 2, 1957 in Hornby. She predeceased him on October 22, 2016. Bob spent his later years enjoying his retirement from Corning Glass Works and he was the proud owner of a 1959 American Flag Ford Panel Van.

He won many trophies for the van and it appeared in almost every local parade. He loved going to town to have coffee with his friends and they all meant a lot to him. Bob was a musician and he spent hours at home playing his steel guitar and loved watching movies and tv in his later years.

He is survived by his son, John A. Moore of Middletown, Ohio, daughters, Linda J. Moore of Beaver Dams and Rhonda L. (Scott) Newton of Painted Post, grandchildren, Shannon (Jamie) Hussak, John (Bethany) Moore, Jr, Katrina (Seth) Tong, Charles McFall III, and Kevin (Tabatha) Tombs, a great granddaughter, Kylie (Dave) Goff, adopted nieces and nephews, Kathie, Judy, Mary Anne, Carol, and David, siblings, Charles DeForrest Osgood Jr. of Wellsboro, Michael (Laura) Osgood of Wellsboro, Mary (Robert) Case of Groton, NY, and Mary Annette Osgood Geneski of Wellsboro, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his natural and by his adoptive parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Don Crocker. It was Bob’s wish that there be no services.

Burial will take place in the family plot in Shumway Cemetery in Wellsboro at the convenience of the family. Bob family entrusted Carpenter’s Funeral Home with his care.
