Schuh 88 of Marinette passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019, at Rennes East. He was born on April 4, 1930, in Milwaukee to the late Arthur and Irene (Gallagher) Schuh. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1948 and attended Marquette University.

Roderick entered in the Navy in 1948 and served his country until 1971 retiring as Senior Chief. He had served in Glenview, IL, Millington, TN, Seattle, WA, Bloomington, MN, and Whidbey Island, WA. On August 4, 1956, Roderick married Frances Neville in Milwaukee.

They moved to Marinette in 1971. He had worked at Enstrom for eight years and a few years at Ansul. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, the American Legion, Fleet Reserve, Knights of Columbus, a past 20 Year Elks club member and a Red Cross Volunteer, which he helped on the national level with his wife on many disasters in the ‘90s.

He enjoyed sailing, building doll houses for his grandchildren, camping, traveling, reading, jigsaw puzzles, building lighthouses, riding his bike and taking on the Century Bike ride with his family, right up into his 80’s. He also loved spending time with his family and was a wonderful host and had many special friends. Roderick is surivived by his wife of 62 years, Frances of Marinette; daughters, Robin Cossey of Spring, TX and Theresa (Greg) Kopish of Madison; sons, Roderick (Tonya) Schuh Jr of Baltimore, MD and Matthew (Kathy) Schuh of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren: Dustin Cossey; Kristin (Adam) Stevenson, Kelly (Kassie Brown) Kopish, Jeramiah (Amanda) Schuh, Thia (Marcus) Wheeler, Megan, Ashley, and Josie Schuh; great grandchildren, Kash and Evelyn; brother, Arthur (Pat) Schuh of Genesee ,WI; sister, Marilyn Kelly of Houston; nieces and nephews too numerous to mention; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol (Carl) Dirnbauer. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 28th from 9-10am at Holy Family Parish – Our Lady of Lourdes Church. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am with Rev.

Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Additional time of gathering will be held at the luncheon to follow the Mass.
