It is with great sadness that we write the closing of the life for Rondalyn Brindley. As a young girl, Rondalyn developed a passion for music.

She learned to play piano and the guitar by ear. She was also a talented singer with unlimited styles of music. Growing up Rondalyn was the eldest of three and she was a dutiful elder sister to younger siblings Pamelyn Brindley and Karalyn Brindley.

The majority of Rondalyn’s adult life was dedicated to helping others. She was an avid student and landed on studying nursing at Jones International and American InterContinental Universities. She went on to become a caregiver/home-health aide.

Rondalyn spoke English, Spanish, and American Sign Language. Her undeniable love for baking was expressed through her career as a theme and wedding cake consultant. Rondalyn also devoted herself to rescuing and advocating for animals – particularly dogs.

Rondalyn is preceded in death by both her mother Joanne Brindley, and father Gordon Brindley, as well as her life partner Kenneth “Kenny” Hammond. She is survived by her two sisters Pamelyn S. Brindley and Karalyn Brindley; Her “father in law”, Abraham Hammond, Kenny’s brother Mark Hammond, and her beloved four legged companion “Rocky”. Rondalyn suffered from mental illness throughout her adult years.

Though her death was due to physical illness, we will never know if there could have been preventative care that may have helped. We chose to speak openly about her struggle and we as her family, have a desire for Rondalyn’s legacy to be used as conversation starter that could provide hope to others suffering, and comfort to families of those affected by mental illness and let them know they are not alone and that there is help available through local agencies. Rondalyn passed on November 22nd 2018, at West Lake Rehabilitation in Westlake, Ohio For those unable to attend please visit the funeral home’s website to share a memory and sign the guest register, www.
