Scharein, 89 years of age, and a resident of Florida, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at Lakeland Regional Health. He was born October 5, 1929 in Elyria, Ohio. Arthur was raised in Elyria Ohio, Brandon and Lakeland Fl has been his home for the last 6 years.

He proudly served in the United Stated Army. Arthur was employed at Becton, Dickinson and Company as a Manufacturing Engineer. He attended Ohio State University.

Survivors include his wife Helen Casey (nee: Tolbert); his daughter Candy Trowbridge (Howard); his son Andy Scharein; his grandchildren Carly Trowbridge, Stuart Trowbridge (Barret), Rachel Scharein, George Scharein; and his great grandsons Nolan Trowbridge and Sutton Trowbridge. He was preceded in death by his first wife Beryl E. Scharein in 1997; and his parents Karl and Ida Scharein (nee: Lux). Friends may call Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave.

, Amherst. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
