Wilma “Kay” Ball December 03, 1949 – February 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Wilma “Kay” Ball (nee: Bias), 69 years of age, and a resident of Vermilion, was received in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 23, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 3, 1949 in West Hamlin, West Virginia. Kay was raised in West Virginia graduating from Hamlin High School.

She had made her home in Vermilion for over fifty years. Her primary focus in life was a homemaker. Kay was a longtime member of First Assembly of God in Vermilion.

She was very active at church and served as a Sunday School teacher, worked in the nursery and the church office. Kay enjoyed working with flowers, reading and doing puzzles. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

Survivors include her son William Kent Ball (Sandy) and her daughter Lisa Kaye Anderson (Ralph) both of Vermilion; five grandchildren Nicholas, Dara, Kenneth, Matthew and Jareth; her sisters Velma Woodall of Vermilion, Verna Taylor of Amherst, Wanda Pickett of Vermilion, Norma Mankin (Marty) of Berlin Heights and Connie Taylor (Ron) of Shelbyville, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William Ball in 2011; her brothers Ronald, Don, and Allen; and her parents Albert and Evelyn Bias (nee: Bragg). Friends may call Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon at Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst.

Rev. Russell Nelson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermilion.
