Roosevelt Brown November 16, 1925 – June 15, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Roosevelt Brown, Sr. 92, widower of Mary Lou Brown, departed this walk of life on Friday, June 15, 2018 at McCormick Rehabilitation Healthcare Center in McCormick, South Carolina. He was born on November 16, 1925 in Darlington, South Carolina to the late Della Jackson and Wilson Brown. Roosevelt known to many as “Rabbit” retired from driving trucks and working with heavy equipment.

He had a special love for his family and enjoyed gardening. He is preceded in death by his wife, one son, Bruce Brown, brothers, Michael Jackson, and George Keith, one sister, Sylvia Johnson and one grandson, Adrian Curry. He leaves to cherish his memories are four sons, Roosevelt (April) Brown, Jr. of Taylors, South Carolina; Lewis Brown of Columbia, South Carolina; Robert Lee Brown of Greenville, South Carolina and Moses Waiters of Darlington, South Carolina; three daughters, Mary Mattison of Greenville, South Carolina; Daisy Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio and Rosella (Steve) McElveen of Darlington, South Carolina and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in the chapel of Parks Funeral Home with Apostle Alvin Deal officiating. The family will receive friend on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 1 pm prior to the service. Parks Funeral Home is assisting the Brown Family.
