Ruth’s Obituary Ruth Weidmann Trimble, age 82 of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Harrisburg. Born March 22, 1936 in Glen Ridge, NJ she was the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Ruth (Baechlin) Weidmann. Ruth was a former deli clerk at Giant Foods in Mechanicsburg however she spent a majority of her time babysitting her grandchildren as well as many children throughout her neighborhood.

Ruth was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mechanicsburg, and served as a den mother and troop leader with both the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. Ruth enjoyed traveling, especially on her annual trip to the beach with her neighborhood buddies and was always a cat lover. She was a wonderful, caring and loving person who opened her home to many and will be greatly missed.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years James E. Trimble. She is survived by her daughter Susan J. Lubnow and husband Richard, a son Peter J. Trimble and wife Rita all of Mechanicsburg; a brother Frederick Weidmann and wife Sally of Oakland, NJ; 9 grandchildren Kristin Swingle, Peter, Christopher and Jason Trimble, Frederick and Christopher Lubnow, Brooke Kramer, Emily and Josh Meinert; eight great grandchildren Mason, Lexi and Bailey Trimble, Brady and Stefaney Goodling, Preston Kuhn, Jonathan and Jacob Lubnow; a great great granddaughter Bexley Trimble as well as Stephanie Trimble Fisher of Shermans Dale. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
