Joan’s Obituary Joan Burlein Michelotti, age 90, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. She was born September 28, 1928 in Honesdale, PA a daughter of the late Lester and Una (Foster) Burlein. Joan was a deeply loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.

Joan was a devoted wife and is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years, Aldon Michelotti. In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by her three children, Catherine Glazier of Piedmont, CA; Diane Dumas of Spencerport, NY, and Mark Michelotti, of Spring Mills, PA; a sister Joyce Osborne and a brother John Burlein, both of Honesdale; 8 grandchildren and 7 (soon to be 8! ) great grandchildren.

Joan graduated from Honesdale High School Class of 1947, and received a B.S. in Microbiology from Penn State University in 1951. After graduation, Joan worked as a Bacteriologist at the Hershey Chocolate Corporation. Joan was an incredible person who always put her family and friends needs above her own.

She served her community in many ways, including over 40 years of dedicated service to Meals on Wheels. Joan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, the West Shore Country Club, the Penn State Nittany Lion Club and was a Penn State football season ticket holder for 40 years. Her hobbies included spending time with her family, traveling with her husband, playing bridge, and most importantly, being the best friend she could be to many.

Memorial services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday at the church. Interment will take place at the church columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Joan to Meals on Wheels, 101 North 23rd Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
